We strategically create powerful educational gatherings to help you thrive in your personal and professional lives. We curate events entirely based on information we collect from our members. They are focused, on point, culturally current events that provide our members opportunities to engage with dynamic locally and nationally recognized speakers.
Education and Events
The Financial Health Academy
The Financial Health Academy® offers multi-generational and family-friendly programming to improve the overall financial health of Black families in Dane County. This core programming aims to target Black households with at least one young person between the ages of 13-21 living in the home and was designed with the specific needs of Black families in mind.
Black Women’s Leadership Conference presented by Heymiss Progress
An annual leadership conference for professional and personal development, networking, and strategic power sessions while promoting sisterhood and elevating the collective status of Black women.
AMBITION:
Ambition builds the skills, confidence, and networks for Black women in the workforce so that they can seek career advancement. Additionally, the Progress Center advocates with employers for changing workplace environments and advancement opportunities, such that Black women employees aspire to seek and gain leadership positions.
Entrepreneurship
F.O.C.U.S. is designed to help Black entrepreneurs get focused on key aspects of running their business while providing a supportive community, tools, training, and resources to help their entrepreneurial endeavors grow and succeed.
Long Term Success
“Under One Roof,” provides both immediate interventions and long-term strategies and problem-solving in collaboration with Black women and their families.
